Happy Thursday everyone ! After a long cold day, nothing is better then a good warm cup of hot chocolate. When I was little, whenever we had a snow day; my mom would make a big batch of this for my sister and I. We all would take our mugs and sit by a heater and warm up. Now that I’ve gotten older, I make it all the time. Depending on the season you can spice it up with pumpkin purée or some peppermint. (Try it with popcorn🍿)
•3 tbs -Hershey powder
•Pinch – Salt
•1 tsp – Vanilla extract
•2 cups- Milk
•1/8 tsp cinnamon *optional
•2 tbps honey/sugar
In a saucepan, add the milk and vanilla over medium heat.
Stir constantly or else a film will develop on the top. If that happens, just take a fork and scoop it out of the pot.
Once it starts to get bubbles on the side, add cocoa powder, salt, and sugar.
Once it’s all stirred in, pour into your cup and add toppings if desired.
In a microwave safe bowl or mug, add milk and vanilla.
Microwave for 1 minute or until warm.
Stir and add cocoa powder, salt, and sugar.
Put back into the microwave for 45 seconds or until warm again.
Stir and pour into cup (if in a bowl), then add toppings if desired.
