Ipsy GlamBag Review (March)

Hello guys, happy Thursday. I recently subscribed to ipsy. It is such a cool company. You pay $10 a month and receive a different bag each time filled with 5 beauty products. You make a profile and customize it to what you would like to see in your bag.

I loved what I got this month. I got 5 products inside a cute pink bag. There was an eyeshadow brush, eyeshadow, liquid lipstick, moisturizer, and hair mask. What a great mix of items, right?!

The Elizabeth Mott blending brush is great. It is made out of synthetic bristles so when you use it, it doesn’t shed or use too much product. The size of the brush is perfect for the crease. It blends everything out so nicely. This brush was a win for me and my new go to.

I wasn’t sure on the mPrincess Pressed Eyeshadow in chestnut. When I did a swatch of it, it felt very dry and almost scratchy. The was color beautiful though so I didn’t want to give up on it. It is a beautiful shimmer bronze, great for summer. After the very top layer of powder was off, it wasn’t as bad as I thought it was. It is so beautiful when applied to the lid. If you have a deep complexion I believe it’d be a pretty highlight. It turned out to be a very nice product.

I’m always on the look for new lip products so I was excited to try the Tarte cosmetics tarteist quick dry matte lip paint in rosé. This color was too dark for me to be a nude just because I am so pale but it is still beautiful and has a good formula. It is pigmented, creamy, long lasting, and not drying. It’s great for an everyday glam. They have a big color range, if I were to purchase one I would probably get “salty”.

My skin is always dry especially during cold weather. I was interested to see if it would do its job. The First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair face moisturizer is free from those harsh chemicals and ingredients that no one wants on their face. It has colloid oatmeal, shea butter, avocado oil, and added antioxidants. With all that, it’s great for sensitive skin like mine. My face doesn’t turn red when I use it like other products can do. For me, it’s better for a night moisturizer because it does not have sunscreen. It’s very moisturizing and lightweight on the skin.

Hair treatment is either a hit or miss for me. I wasn’t to impressed by the Marc Anthony True Professional Deep Repair Aloe Vera & Jasmine Oil Deep Repairing Conditioning Treatment. It has pros and cons. The pros are that it’s lightweight and made my roots softer. The cons are that it has a strong smell and it still left the ends of my hair very dry. When I use a hair mask I expect to have silky, healthier looking hair but that wasn’t the case using this product.

I love the Ipsy! I highly recommend it if you guys are into beauty and want to try out new stuff. You get 5 sample products each month inside a makeup bag for only $10. It’s a great deal! You get to test out products to see if they’re actually worth your money. When joining you might get put onto a wait list. You can usually get off that by following all of ipsy socials. If not, you aren’t on the wait list long, usually you will get the next months bag. They don’t charge your card either unless you get sent a bag. If you guys’ have it, leave me a comment on what you think about it! 💋
