Hey everyone! Happy Thursday. These past few months I have developed a hair routine with some of my favorite products!
I’ll catch you up on my hair and it’s history. My hair is pretty dry and bleach damaged. I try to do all that I can anymore to help it. I took a break from dying it in December and dyed it back to my natural color. I just dyed it back to blonde this past week so it has had a few months to breathe and grow out. It has grown about 3-4 inches so far. I made the mistake in February and got bangs. I cut them my self which big lesson learned; don’t cut your own bangs. I hate them. I’m trying to grow them out but they are growing in so slow. They are in the awkward stage where they are to long for straight across bangs but to short for side bangs. My hair is quite the mess, I’d say.
Here’s a few things I do that help my hair grow faster then usual. Oil treatments and scalp massages. Scalp massages can increase blood flow to the hair follicles and strengthen your roots. I do it for five minutes each day. I do oil treatments about once every two weeks. It moisturizes, prevents dandruff, and helps prevents spilt ends. I usually just use coconut oil and tea tree oil and melt them together. I massage it through my hair and sleep with it, then wash it out in the morning.
Here are my every day hair care items. I take a multi B vitamin which has the biotin in it. Biotin helps with hair and nail growth. I wash my hair with OGX teatree mint shampoo and OGX argon oil of Morocco conditioner. I found these are the best for my hair. It isn’t drying but it also doesn’t get oily fast. About every other shower I do the TRESemmé instant recovery mask to keep my hair silky and healthy. I love it because you can tell a difference as soon as your washing it out and it smells like candy. After my shower, I use argon oil all throughout my hair and marula oil on the ends of my hair. Marula oil acts as a heat protectant.
I don’t use that many hair tools. I usually just keep my hair straight and curl it for occasions. My hair is naturally straight/loose waves. I use the Remington Wet2Straight flat iron to straighten my hair. It works good for me. Then I switch from 2 tools to curl my hair depending on the look I want. I use the Remington 1 1/4″ Instant Curls Curling Iron to create big curls or a bend in the hair. Then I use the T|Studio Large Pearl Ceramic Professional Styling Wand to create more of loose uneven curls. I just noticed that all these products are Remington but they work great and last a long time!
