Hi everyone, happy Thursday. I’ve pretty much switched all the products from what I used last year to now. I’ve been digging the light natural glam instead of the glamorous glam lately.
Recently I found the brand The Ordinary and fell in love with their products. I’ve been using their High-Spreadability Fluid Primer. It makes my make up stay on all day and fills my pores.
I haven’t been using foundation unless it’s for a special occasion. I’ve just been using concealers. I use Maybelline Age Rewind Concealer for my main concealer. Then I put a little bit of ItCosmetics Bye Bye Under Eye Concealer to brighten under my eyes and spot conceal.
I set it with Coty Airspun Loose Face Powder. This isn’t my all time favorite but it does the job for cheap. It does really set the makeup but sometimes depending on how much you use, you have to worry about flashback. By this point my face is very pale and lacking dimension. I bronze it up with Tarte Cosmetics Amazonian Clay Waterproof Bronzer. I love this one because it’s a great color and stays on all throughout the day.
I always start with my brows because it helps to know where the eye shadows go. I use Colourpop Brow Boss Pencil to fill them in. I clean it up with Eyelure Brow Luminizer. Then I set the brows with Lancôme Sourcils Styler Brow Gel.
I don’t wear that much eyeshadow. If I’m home and have time I will use the Morphe 35k palette. If I don’t have time I either use the Pixie by Petra Mesmerizing Mineral Palette in Plum Quartz or the Elizabeth Mott Pop! Goes The Shadow in Toasted.
Eyeliner is one thing that can make or break a look. I tend to only line my top lash line anymore. Bottom eyeliner is so intense and closes the eyes. I like black and matte liquid eyeliner. I’ve been using the Elf Intense Ink eyeliner. This eyeliner last all day and it’s only $4.
I can’t do mascara unless I curl my lashes. I tend to do this before eyeliner but sometimes I forget. If you do it before you don’t have to worry about it messing up the eyeliner.
I’ve been using 3 different mascaras. I like to use the Make Up For Ever Excessive Lash mascara as a base. It adds good length. I layer the Covergirl LashBlast mascara over it. This has been my favorite mascara for at least 5 years. It’s good on its own but better when layered. If I’m in a rush and don’t have time for both I’ll just use the ItCosmetics Superhero mascara.
Lip products can be either really good or totally suck. So, here a few of my favorites lately.
I always have chapstick on. I just got the Jersey Shore Cosmetics Apple Harvest Hydrating Balm. It’s all natural and can be multi-use. I fell in love with it and it reminds me of the apple orchard in the Fall.
I’ve been using these two matte liquid lipsticks depending on the day. The formulas are very different but I love the colors. I really like Ofra Cosmetics Liquid Lipstick in Unzipped. It’s the perfect pink without being too much. It last through out the day unless you eat. It does layer good though so that’s not a problem as long as you carry it with you. I recently got gifted the Buxom Wildly Whipped Liquid Lipstick in the shade Dominatrix-Fiery Red. This is the perfect red. It has more of a blue undertone so it makes your teeth look whiter. It’s very light and moisturizing but is not long lasting. It feels more like a lipstick because it doesn’t dry down completely. You can’t get away with leaving the house without it.
When I don’t know what to wear I tend to just wear a gloss. My favorites are from Colourpop. They’re always cute and affordable. My favorite shades are Tight Fit and My Forte. You never can go wrong with gloss unless your hair is long and you are on a drive with the windows down. That’s just asking for a mess. 😂
That is it! I genuinely love all these products and they’re my favorite for a reason. What are some of your favorite beauty products? Let me know down below!! I love trying new things! Makeup will always be a passion of mine. I post every Thursday so subscribe so you never miss out 🙂 See you soon.
